This kanji is made up of two other very common kanji:

- [木](/en/japanese-kanji/木-tree-japanese-kanji): kanji meaning `tree`, which is also a radical

- 亥: kanji of the **sign of the boar**



## What does kanji mean 核
This kanji indicates the `core`, and is connected to various terms that refer to the **center, heart, fulcrum of an organism or organization**.

This is also the kanji which indicates the `nucleus` at the chemical level. It is therefore also connected with everything that derives from this concept.
